He has been more than a bus driver! A godly man, very humble and loving, a father, I could go on… Markus Krupp had been driving us from the 12th of January till May 15th. I remember one of the first Churches we stopped at in Vancouver someone asked “how long have you known each other? “A week and they could not believe it” It is like you have been friends for years” she added!
Markus’s last day on tour as our bus driver was on Sunday 15th May 2011! We had a surprise Cake for him during dinner as his belated birthday and farewell at the same time! One of the things I will miss about him is sharing scriptures and talking about our experiences with God. He has been part of every pre-concert prayer and shared with us a couple of times (Which explains why he was a youth pastor) including on his last day on tour.
Joel who was so close to him said ” Thank you uncle Markus for driving many hours without getting tired even when you were hungry; and for loving me, may God bless you”
A number of Children and adults got to say a few words to him as we said goodbye to our beloved bus driver. We sang may the Lord bless you! And gave him big hugs, then Joel gave him cards and a gift from Choir 46! Not many eyes were dry! I concluded “We will always treasure the memories of the time spent with you. Please thank Jessica and Sylvia for lending you to us for 4months.
You have been more than a bus driver! You are our friend….”
It could not get any harder than this saying good bye to someone we have known for only 4months which seemed like four years! He spoke during the devotions and ended with encouraging words from Jesus ” I now call you friends”
