Watoto At The Nowergian Parliament

Today was a very good way to end our tour of Norway. We have been here for the last 8weeks and it has been quite a tour in all ways.

The response has been great here in terms of people signing up for sponsorship, giving towards the work of the ministry and the warm welcome received everywhere the choir has gone. More so people have written back to the office appreciating so much of how they have been blessed and very much desire to have the choir back to Norway.

The choir performing

What a way to end, performing for the Nation’s Law making body. It was a great 20minutes concert that left the members of parliament with teary eyes.

later we were treated to a tour of the parliamentary building, met with one of the presidential governors in the parliament, who was a former minster of Health and finally attended an on-going session in the parliament. As a result of this performance the choir has been welcomed again on its next tour of Norway to perform a full concert.

we greatly praise God for the doors he has opened for us while on our tour of Norway. As per the time of writing this blog tomorrow we head to Sweden and Denmark for a week and half tour before we summarize it all in Netherlands.

Thank you very much for every person that has given support to the choir while on its tour of Norway.  A big thank you to the country Director Harald Hjulstad and his office, to all who have joined the family of sponsors we greatly appreciate and all the the partners of watoto may God richly bless you.

Breaking Ground

It is such a great privilege for Watoto to break more ground in Norway. Watoto Choir 51 is touring more new places in Norway this time round and it is all great welcomes that the choir is receiving here.

Many places the choir has gone to people didn’t know about Watoto except for what they read on internet upon the mention of Watoto coming to their area and so they didn’t know what to expect, but once the choir has ended its concert of hope so many are left in awe and pleasant amazement.

The response of the Norwegians is so amazing in terms of their warm welcomes, how they treat the choir and in terms of their giving towards the work of Watoto.

A big thank you the warm-hearted and loving Norwegians who have in one way or another have supported Watoto from the their first encounter with the choir till now and for those who will join in on this amazing cause of rescuing the many African orphans in dire need of support and discipleship for a better future life full of hope.

In the Nothern part of Norway

Most of the places we have been to would like to have Watoto back and more churches have asked to be contacted when the choir will be back in Norway.

Blessed Twice In One Day

It has been such a great day for us today as we were blessed twice in two different ways. It was evident that God smiled big on us without holding back and freely released his gladness on the choir.

Sun Rays striking the sea surface

Beauty of The Mountains touching the sea

For the past four weeks it has been raining a lot (and everyday). Since we arrived into Norway we have been followed or welcomed by rains and the chilly weather with little or no sunshine at all. This hindered us from having outdoor fun and yet we maximized our moments indoors whenever we got a chance to.

Today the sun was out at full beam and lit upon the beauty of Norway’s topography. The beautiful mountains with their syncline into the sea created a beautiful sight, pleasing to the eyes.

We didn’t waste anytime but to jump off the bus upon stopping to take a few photographs with a scenic background.

The other blessing was to be hosted by a church full of Ugandans for a watoto concert here in Trondheim Norway. We were treated to a real Ugandan meal comprising of beans, rice, chicken, cassava (a root tuber), sweet potatoes, to mention but a few. It was lovely as the Ugandans too were so happy to receive us.

It has been really a happy day for the children and adults alike. No wonder the children were excited even more than usual in the concert for the day.

Surely this tour is an amazing thing for the children that travel outside Uganda for the first time. It teaches them more about appreciation.

Thank you to all the host the children’s Choirs. May God bless you for all the care and love you show us.
