Choir 58 meets young Tilly McClaren

Last weekend, the children got to meet up with young Tilly and her family (Dad Ian, Mom Vicky and little brother Oli’) at the Revelation Centre, Chichester. We received an email today saying they had a fantastic time and it was lovely to meet and have dinner together. “Tilly is so excited to share her experience with the rest of her school tomorrow.”

As someone experiencing this moment via this post, you must be wondering, “Who is Tilly and why is she so special to us?” Tilly is the little eight year old girl who sold her toys to buy oranges. And sold those oranges at a profit in order to raise money for Watoto. Now isn’t she industrious? Such an inspirational story… a little girl lifts her toy to her mother and says, “What if i could sell this to help another child?” Hmmm… Amazing. May God bless you Tilly.

Choir 58 @ The Stormont, Northern Ireland (flashback)

Psalm 113:7-8 says, “He lifts the lowly out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, and he seats them before princes.”

On choir tour, we are privileged to be given a front seat view of what God is doing. And on this particular day, one of the Northern Ireland ministers attended our concert. He absolutely fell in love with the children and immediately organised a visit to the parliament buildings at Stormont. The Parliament buildings at Stormont, Belfast are the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly and National Executive.

We sang before the nation’s key decision makers. Amidst their very busy schedules (meetings and key debates ), they made time to meet and greet the children, take pictures and indulged in group hugs. What an honour it was to be able to share the work of God in the lives of his children in Watoto, and ultimately wave the Jesus flag for all the kings and queens of the land to see.

Thank you Jesus. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has yet known the plans you have in store for us”Image

Choir 58 @ Edinburgh, Scotland

En route to yet another concert venue, the choir swung by the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the monarch’s official residence in Edinburgh. The Queen was not in and by all means, we knew we could not just walk in and request a tour of the premises.

Nonetheless, we were close by, so we popped by for education and exploration purposes. It was quite an experience. Here are some of the images.
