Back home in Uganda we say ‘Webale Nnyo’, which means thank you so much.
As choir88 we want to say webale webale webale nnyo.

“Behind every champion there is great inspiration.” Mark Pius.

We are champions who have run our race so well and our crown is every experience we have encountered that has left us with great memories. Our inspiration has been every soul that we have met and they have become family as they have loved, guided, cared, and helped us in so many ways.

Our greatest inspiration has been God, one who has opened so many doors for us to find this great experience and also given us courage to run this race.

“Give thanks to the Lord and pray to Him. Tell the nations what He has done. Sing to Him, Sing praises to Him and tell all the wonderful things He has done.” 1 Chronicles16:8-9.

From every platform that is from Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia that we have been given we have shared one story of Signs & Wonders of God’s love for us.
This is our story and our song, He has redeemed and called us His very own.
Out of the ashes He lifted us, He set out on higher ground, now we live with confidence knowing that no matter what may come our way we will not be shaken or be moved for we are signs and wonders.
God has made everything new for us, we were souls that once were abandoned but today, we know we are children of God who are no longer slaves to fear of our past, for they have been drowned in His perfect love.
This has been our race. To go out to the corners of Asia and tell of this story as we sing and dance on God’s great dance floor. But also as we share through our testimonies of how once we and our mothers have been vulnerable but now we have been changed, healed, freed and delivered. We have found joy, peace, grace and favour. Surely we won’t go back to way things used to be before His presence came and changed us.
We have shared this story to wherever we have been given an ear so that the souls can also have an experience of how good God’s love is. So that they can also come, feel, and stand alive just like us. We have carried one desire at heart; seeking everyday that His Kingdom come and His will be done upon us and everywhere we go.
For six months, we have been celebrating our story as we danced to the beat of God’s love, a love that is deeper than all fears, stronger than our past and higher than our hopes. We have heard and seen so many testimonies happen and surely God’s love burst forth echoing in so many hearts.

Day by day, we have lived every moment and we are glad we have made it to the end.
We have had not only a shoulder but shoulders that have carried us through all storms and valleys. There are no words good enough to speak of your love, care, support, sacrifices, and prayers for us. We want to say for everything you have done webale nnyo and forever we will cherish you at heart because together, we have made mark of Signs  & Wonders.

Our race has been embraced with so many highlights as you can read from all our blogs or even follow our experiences on Facebook at #keepingupwithchoir88 and #Choir88Asia. So many beautiful and amazing things we have seen and experienced, surely we serve a God of wonders.

There is a time to come and time to go, a time to start and time to finish.
We came and started this race in Hong Kong and we have finished it in Malaysia and its time now to go back home in Uganda, East Africa.

This is not the end of it all, for our story is so big that we can’t stop sharing it to ends of the world until all have heard and believed. ( Mathew28:19)
Over the hills and the mountains in every nation we will always echo what the Lord has done for us.

If you have experienced or been a part of this beautiful story, know that more is yet to come. So get to our website and see when the next choir will be in your town or your country. Don’t keep the light to your self, shine this light to your family, friends, neighbours and your enemies hahahaha for you never know who might need to hear this sound of hope.

May the Lord bless you and take care of you, may the Lord be kind and gracious to you, may the Lord look on you with favour and give you peace, Amen.

We are all God’s Signs & Wonders.

Hospitality is not only inviting in strangers or friends into your home but it’s making your guests feel at home. They say, “East or West, home is the best.” Hence Hospitality is making your guests feel like, where have we been all this long?

Let’s be honest for a moment. Not many people would allow anyone they have no sort of history with to stay in their homes, otherwise there wouldn’t be homeless people on the streets. But this story is about the 5% that actually let a couple of strangers into their homes, with no idea what they looked like.

Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

This is a story of strangers that collided and became instant friends. A story of people who so freely, lovingly opened up their homes to a family of orphans and adults. It’s been six months in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia  but not once have we slept on the street, or gone to bed hungry. We’ve been fully pampered and loved in ways so unexplainable you’d have to experience it yourself to understand.

In six months the kids and adults have been to places that locals haven’t even been and it’s been mind blowing.

We’ve heard stories of transformation from some of the hosts as they have been blessed by the little ones and their stories. Oh but enough about us.

This is a thank you note for our hosts.
The ones that have so easily made us feel like family, given us food for each passing day and places to lay our heads after long days, driven to far off places to pick us up after our late night shows, the ones that have shown us around so well we would give them the tour guides of the year award. I know it’s safe to say this experience wouldn’t have been the same without these big hearts, some, literally kindred spirits. We are and will forever be grateful for this opportunity to live, love and be loved by you. We don’t take it for granted.
To All our hosts.
On behalf of Watoto Choir 88

Kuching is the capital and the most populous city in the state of Sarawak in Malaysia. It is also the capital of Kuching Division. The city is situated on the Sarawak River at the southwest tip of the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo and covers an area of 431 square kilometres (166 sq mi) with population about 165,642. It’s also a bustling, diverse city of old colonial buildings and modern towers.

Tuesday 10th April at dawn, we arrived in this land after a long drive through the night from Sibu where we were for a full week. The atmosphere was as good as sea breeze at the beach in summer. The atmosphere we are talking about is not the weather but warm loving and generous hands of our host Mr. Phillip, who opened the door to a massive mansion for Watoto Choir 88 to stay in for a full week.

Honest and kind first impression will last forever but a false one will only last for a while.” Mark Pius.

This atmosphere was not just for a while, we enjoyed the calm breath of care and love that evening, when we dined with the church hosts to the churches we had to minister our story of Signs & Wonders during the week. On and on with so much excitement that has kept us brilliant and inspired throughout this whole time in Kuching.

“Never underestimate the power of His presence. When Jesus shows up, everything changes! There is no substitution for the presence of Jesus.”Marilyn Skinner.

Wherever we go and share our story, there is one thing we know for sure, the presence of God is always with us because of so many great testimonies that people share as a result of God’s presence that’s with us in all that we do, surely we are children of God.

“For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’” ACTS‬ ‭17:28‬ ‭AMP‬‬.

We have had six concerts in Kuching since Wednesday 11th to Sunday 15th. These concerts have been a life changing experience to every church we have been to, seeing so many people give their life to Jesus. Our big highlight was at Blessed Church on Saturday where we witnessed more than 100 people receive God’s grace and love. The heavens just like us jubilated, just  like the father felt after setting his eyes on his prodigal son come back, so did we after witnessing such glory.
We are very grateful to Calvary Family Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Good News Fellowship, Blessed Church and Chin Fu Methodist Church for hosting us this week. May God greatly bless you.

Peaks of the week

One of the peak highlight of this week was people choosing to work with us in everything we always do daily. We mention it not because it hasn’t happened before but this week was one of its kind. We sold merchandise and our brand new CDs of signs and wonders until we had nothing left but instead people were signing up to order for more which will be sent to them. This was great because this is equally supporting the neighborhood women back at home who make these awesome things and also support children’s ministry.

The second peak of the day was spending our last day in Kuching at Damai beach resort which was sponsored by Blessed Church.

The view, features around, the breeze of the sea, swimming pools, and the lovely people around caught our attention. Let the pictures tell you what our experiences looked like.

This was not all, we had dinner with senior pastor of Blessed Church Pastor, GT Lim, who really spoke so well about Watoto’s vision and story of what God is doing through Watoto.

What a great way to seal such an awesome experience in Kuching.

The last peak highlight is about the young men of Echo Sound Equipment Company, who have been working with us both in Sibu and Kuching.

Every word and action that comes from you carries such a heavy influence to the eyes that you both can see and can’t see, what is the world that you making from your influence?” Mark Pius.

For two weeks, we have worked with these young men and day by day, they have been inspired by the stories that children carry and the story of Signs & Wonders. More so by the way we live our life on our journey. They testified that their lives weren’t left the same and they had developed a strong desire for knowing God. To seal it, one of the members told his mother about us and how we inspired him that the mother who just heard about us gave us such a wonderful art piece which is handcrafted showing last supper of Jesus and his disciples.

We are glad that we indeed walk and move with the presence of God wherever we go because it is so contagious that it never leaves those around us the same.
As we head to our last destination for this tour in Kuala Lumpur for a week, we want to say thank you to everyone who chooses to support us by sponsoring, giving of your money, resources and time and also invite everyone to come and we worship, dance and sing together on God’s great dance floor. Invite everyone in Malaysia to come, by checking on our website, the dance floor is big enough.

See you on God’s great dance floor.
God bless you all.
